I have been a life long Bears fan I was on top of the world in 1985, I went in the freezing cold to the Superbowl parade, I could recite the lyrics to the Superbowl shuffle. I joke that my blood runs blue and orange, with this said you can guess my stance on the Packers. One of the biggest shocks of my life came when my parents told me they almost moved to northern Wisconsin, and I freaked out at the fact I was almost a Packer fan.
The NFC Championship game was huge for me. Bears, Packers this is what it should be I was ecstatic, it was a Superbowl before the Superbowl. As you know I was crushed when the Bears lost and I'm still feeling the pain. There was zero chance of me rooting for the Packers, I also don't like the Steelers but watching the packers loose would ease my pain a bit.
So now here it is the day after the Superbowl and Green Bay champions again. Could it get any worse? I sat down this morning after a long night of pulling for the Steelers to clean out my e mail box when I came across this and my pain was eased just a bit.
Every Red Blooded American should jump in line to support the Green Bay Packers! The Packers defeated the Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon thus earning them the opportunity to go to the Super Bowl. By doing so, they saved the Hard-Working, Red Blooded, Taxpaying Americans literally several million dollars of tax money. How you say? Simple... we were told that if the Chicago Bears had won that President Obama (and probably his family)would be attending the Super Bowl to cheer on his hometown team. Since the Bears lost...the President won't be attending. The money saved from not using Air Force 1, the limousines, all the additional security, and let's not forget Michelle Obama's entourage, is literally several million dollars! Therefore every American should cheer on the Green Bay Packers at the Super Bowl to show them our gratitude. Oh...and let's not forget to thank Chicago Bear's Quarterback Jay Cutler for his role in the Packer's success! With that said...let's circulate this email to everyone we know so they can understand why they should cheer for America's team...the Green Bay Packers!
GO PACK! Never thought I would say that. The other great part will be watching Obama have to play nice with the Packers as they make their trip to the White House and maybe present him with a jersey. Now if he is a true Bears fan this will get interesting but when has he ever been true to his word.
